DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Saudi Arabia has been a member of WTO December 2005 and is part of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. The importation of products containing alcohol (food and drink), pork, frogs, non-Muslim religious representations, many games (for religious reasons) and various products like used tires and fireworks is banned.

a) Commercial Invoice Must be written in English or Arabic in four copies (with the usual references, including the origin of the goods). The invoice must be legalized and subsequently endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce.

b) Certificate of origin Goods destined to Saudi Arabia must be accompanied by a certificate of origin issued in accordance with the form and the Community Chamber of Commerce of reference.

c) Phytosanitary Certificate Necessary for fruit, vegetables, seeds and other plants.

d) Other certificates For the import of poultry in Saudi Arabia is required certificate of non-dioxin contamination, while for dairy products and eggs are required certificates of non-radioactive contamination.

c) The current legislation of Saudi Arabia does not require any treatment fumigation for wood packaging material.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

Saudi Arabia does not adheres to the ATA Convention. Temporary imports are made according to Saudi legal procedures.

NThree copies required, they must include the usual references and must be written in English.

b) Certificate of origin

The certificate of origin is required, must be prepared on the European Community form, and endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce.

c) Phytosanitary Certificate

Necessary for fruit, vegetables and seeds.

d) Health certificate

Needed for meat, is issued by the veterinary service.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

Azerbaijan does not adhere to the ATA Convention.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

a) Commercial Invoice (or custom invoice)

Four copies are required and must be completed in English or French. In the case of shipments with a value equal to or greater than $ 2,500 Canadian authorities require a commercial invoice that must include all the usual references and a custom invoice (Canada Custom Invoice). If the shipment has a value of less than $2,500 it may be cleared just on presentation of the invoice that contains the references required for the preparation of the customs declaration.

b)Certificate of origin

There is no need for products from the European Union.

c) Phytosanitary Certificate

Required for fruit, vegetables, seeds and other plants. The Plant Protection Service of your region should issue the certificate.

d) Health certificate

Required for the import of meat.

d) Treatment of wood packing: wood packaging material should be treated (fumigated) according to FAO-ISPM-15.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

The temporary importation is possible in Canada through the ATA Carnet for products eligible for this procedure. The procedure allows goods intended for fairs and exhibitions or other commercial events.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

a) Commercial invoice

Must be written in english (2 o 3 copies) with usual references.

b) Certificate of origin

A certificate of origin must accompany every consignments to China. The rules governing the issuance and use of certificates of origin are set out in EU Regulation n ° 2454/93.

c) Phytosanitary certificate

In case of fruits, legumes, seeds and other plant, you need a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Plant Protection Service of your State. Now only the plants from the vineyard can be exported from approved establishments.

d)Sanitary certificate

Needed for meat, sanitary certificates are issued by the Veterinary Service.

SAMPLING 

The samples must be sealed according to the security process issued by the regional veterinary services. Health certificates must be printed on original paper by the regional veterinary service. China continues to ban the entry of animals in the country, such as sheep or beef, because of the risk of contamination with BSE (mad cow disease). It is approved for importation of fresh poultry, pig meat, fresh or treated, with a certificate in respect of specific A H1N1.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

It is possible to import temporarily in China according to the ATA carnet procedure only for goods intended to display in exhibitions or similar events as well as in transit operations. In other cases, the company is subject to the procedures of the chinese law. Since November 1st, the ATA carnet may also be used in Macau for goods intended for display in exhibitions and professional equipment and commercial samples.

Since January 2006, the wood packaging destined for China must be treated and marked in accordance with ISPM-15 standards FAO. The insurance on the goods is not required. For more information, please visit www.ippc.int/countries/china.

CONTROLS AND CCC CERTIFICATION

Since 2003 has been enforced a mandatory certification for products related to health and personal safety. The Chinese administration for the certification and accreditation (CNCA), which comes from the AQSIQ, manages the system of mandatory certification of products and China compulsory certification mark (CCC).

The CCC is a certification required for different groups of products before they can be imported or sold in China. Many companies encounter obstacles during the certification process, especially because of the many requirements of the certification authorities in China. Due to this, there may be significant delays or errors in the release.The products subject to CCC certification are shown in this list www.china-certification.com/en/list-of-ccc-mandatory-products including electrical equipment, household appliances, lighting equipment, telephone equipment and medical devices.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

By order of the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, the legalization of documents must be carried out only at the consular offices of the Embassy in Rome and must bear the endorsement of the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce. Without these preliminary procedures, the documents will be considered invalid at the UAE customs offices as well as at the country’s banks. The Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce has established a new procedure for validating export accompanying documents (certificate of origin and invoice).

This procedure is subject to the registration of the Italian company in the Register of exporters established by the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce. To register it is necessary to submit a questionnaire (in duplicate), available at your Chamber of Commerce. Registration is valid for one year and can be carried out at the time of the first request for document authentication. a) Commercial invoice

Three copies in English with the usual references are required.

b) Certificate of origin

Shipments destined for the United Arab Emirates must be accompanied by a certificate of origin. This must be done on the community model and endorsed by the relevant Chamber of Commerce.

c) Certificate of non-radioactive contamination

For agri-food products, it is issued by the veterinary services of the Region to which it belongs.

d) Phytosanitary certificate

Required for fruit, legumes, seeds and other vegetables, it is issued by the phytosanitary service of the region to which it belongs.

e)Health certificate

Mandatory for meats. The document is issued by the veterinary service of the region to which it belongs.

TEMPORARY SHIPPING

The Emirates have joined the ATA Convention since 1 April 2011. The ATA carnet allows the temporary admission of goods intended for exhibitions and fairs.

INSPECTION OF GOODS

Kazakh authorities have established controls of the conformity of imported products. With the implementation of the Customs Union between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, the three countries agreed that the products could be tested and certified in one of the member countries and to be freely transported within the Customs Union.

TEMPORARY SHIPPING

It is not possible to temporarily export to Kazakhstan according to the ATA carnet procedure. Temporary exports are done according to the normal procedure.

Must be written in English and in Russian, shall include the usual references and the origin of the goods. Some importers require them in Russian only. The detailed description of the customs costs is provided in the  WTO site.

The certificate of origin is requested by the importer, but due to the intensification of the current customs controls, certificates of origin can be required without being expressly requested by the importer.

c) Phytosanitary Certificate

Required for fruit, vegetables, seeds and other plants.

d) Health certificate

Requested to export live animals and products derived from them.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

Goods can be temporarily imported to Russia according to the ATA carnet procedure that allows the temporary admission of goods for fairs and events.

e) Labelling of goods: must be in Russian language. When the product is subject to mandatory certification, it is recommended to put the conformity marking on the product or packaging.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

a) Commercial Invoice

There is a specific format for the preparation of the commercial invoice and can be written in any language (even though it may be requested a translation in English or Russian). The original must be submitted.

b) Certificate of origin

Can be requested by the importer and must be presented in the original.

c) Phytosanitary Certificate

Document certifying that all plants and plant products have been inspected according to appropriate procedures, are free from quarantine pests and free from other harmful organisms and are deemed to comply with the phytosanitary regulations of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen authorities accept certificates from a competent authority of a Member State of the European Union, if all relevant information are provided. The phytosanitary certificate may be prepared in any language but a translation in English or Russian may be required.

d) Health certificate

Health certificate must state that the products of animal origin are not infected and do not transmit any infectious disease. Same process of presentation of the phytosanitary certificate.

e) Certificate of free sale

A document that certifies the products can be sold in the country of origin. The certificate is issued by a competent authority or by another institution in the country of origin, such as the Chamber of Commerce. The certificate of free sale can be prepared in any language. However, it is recommended a translation in English or Russian.

TEMPORARY IMPORT

Turkmenistan does not adhere to the ATA Convention.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

a)Commercial Invoice

Must be in English or in another language but with a proper English translation. Must be submitted in a single copy, additional copies may be required for specific import needs. The invoice data can also be sent electronically via the Automated Invoice Interface or EDIFACT.

b) Certificate of origin

The certificate of origin is issued by the Chamber of Commerce and must be delivered in original. It is necessary only if requested by the importer.

b) Certificate of Analysis

The certificate is mandatory for example for wine importation. May be required in some cases by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau if they need clarification. The certification consists of a statement issued by the authorities of the country of production or a body responsible for the control of this kind of practices.

d) Phytosanitary Certificate

It certifies that a product consisting of plants or plant products (plants, timber, tubers, vegetables, seeds, etc.) is perfectly preserved and in compliance with the requirements of phytosanitary legislation and, in particular, it is not contaminated by harmful organisms (insects, bacteria, parasites and other pathogens).

e) Health certificate

This certificate states that the products of animal origin intended for export are not infected and are not carriers of any infectious disease. Required for customs clearance and access to the market, it must be written in English and submitted in original. It is also mandatory a statement to the Food and Drug Administration for exports to the United States of foodstuffs (including beverages) for human consumption or animal feed.

f) Manufacturer Identification Number (MID)

The MID is a code that identifies the non-US manufacturers, in accordance with the provisions of law. The MID may be a prerequisite for the import customs declaration. The responsible authority is the Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The MID must be provided by the importer in accordance with the provisions of United States law.

TEMPORARY IMPORTATION

You can temporarily import in the United States with the procedure of the ATA Carnet for: commercial samples, professional equipment, goods in transit, goods intended for trade fairs, exhibitions and so on.
